About us
Everyone should be able to access and experience music. We use music, sound, and silence to create opportunities where learning Disabled children and adults with complex support needs thrive.
We bring people together across the country through inclusive choirs, community-based music-making groups, interactive outdoor learning with sound making, themed indoor multi-sensory experiences, and online music-making accessible wherever and whenever they are most needed for families.
Soundabout supports around 1,300 participants per year through accessible music making opportunities and training for families, carers, and professionals so they use our techniques in daily life.
Over the past twenty-eight years, Soundabout’s approach has supported Learning Disabled people's voices to be heard, while supporting:
- communication
- friendships/community
- self-expression
- enjoyment
- health and wellbeing
